This is a permanent, remote working role with a salary of £29,757 per annum, pro rata. We welcome applications for 40 hours full time or 32 hours (0.8 full time equivalent) including breaks. Your responsibilities will include recording transactions, processing invoices, expense claims and grants, administering the charity’s bank accounts, payroll, and audits.

We are looking for a Prospect Research & Donor Insight Manager to join the National Theatre Development Team.

The purpose of the role

This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of fundraising at the National Theatre, as we look to grow our income from individual members, major donors, trusts and corporate organisations.

Working with the Senior Prospect Research & Donor Insight Manager, you will develop a strong fundraising pipeline that will ensure the team can reach their long-term targets.

Your natural curiosity will lead you to identify new opportunities using a variety of online sources in combination with the NT’s database, Tessitura, and you will be able to articulate your recommendations to fundraisers in a concise and compelling way. With excellent attention to detail, this role also undertakes due diligence research into potential funders to assess any risks to the NT of accepting funds. This role also manages the Development Operations Assistant, who leads the day-to-day administration of the Development database.

The role has scope to offer insights across the whole Development team and NT senior management, and would suit a strong collaborator with enthusiasm for the work of the NT.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Experience of managing prospect research projects and supporting prospect pipeline management in a fundraising environment.

• Experience of Tessitura or other customer relations management systems.

• Proven ability to gather and interpret information for relevance from a variety of sources.

• An appreciation for donor motivations and ability to make thoughtful connections with projects.

• Evidence of the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner, both written and orally.

Role Definition

The Development Department is responsible for securing revenue and project income from funding sources including individuals, businesses, trusts and statutory organisations to support the Theatre and its work. In addition, the team is embarking on a multimillion-pound capital fundraising campaign to completely refurbish its auditorium and build a new 200-seat second space within the existing building.

The Membership Manager’s key responsibilities are to increase income through our Supporters’ Circle membership scheme, manage relationships and the delivery of benefits to our Corporate Partners, and provide exceptional technical, organisation and administration skills to support the work of the department. About Creative Learning:

The Welsh Government and Arts Council of Wales are collaborating on a major project to enhance the quality of creative learning in Wales’ schools.  An ambitious programme of activity has been set out in Creative Learning through the arts – an action plan for Wales.

The Plan set out a joint implementation strategy that has enabled the Arts Council and Welsh Government to work together to implement the recommendations contained in the Arts in Education review report (Smith 2013).  The plan has been successfully delivered over the 8 years from 2015 – 2023 and the Welsh Government has agreed to continue to work in partnership with the Arts Council of Wales until 2025.

About Project Leads:

There are 6 Project Leads (including this vacancy) and between them they cover the range of duties described in the job description. They support the Programme Manager in the development of policy and strategy in relation to the Creative Learning through the Arts programme, and its successful delivery. About the Role

As an Arts Coordinator, you will design and deliver creative arts activities for young people, overseeing the programmes for the Arts and Crafts room, Dance/Drama studio, Film and Media room, and the Music Studio.

As well as this, you will also provide line management support, coaching and development for arts sessional workers in their areas. The Arts Coordinator is a delivery role, with a minimum of 55% of working hours spent face to face with young people.

Arts Emergency is looking for an enthusiastic person to join its dynamic Fundraising & Marketing team. 

This rewarding role involves focusing on communicating with and nurturing a large network of donors. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fundraising environment and a good grasp of general fundraising principles and best practices in fundraising.

We are recruiting for the post of Head of Communications to play a leading role in promoting an accurate, positive, and informed view of the Arts Council, and of the activity we support.  The Head of Communications ensures that we promote our work in a single consistent voice, in a manner that is arresting, engaging and accessible.

The Head leads a team of Communication specialists who together develop print and electronic material – in Welsh and English – that reflects the Arts Council’s values, ambitions and identity. A key goal for the team is to promote the arts in innovative ways to reach a new and broader audience. The Head also coordinates the delivery of promotional campaigns and events that raise the profile of the arts and the Arts Council itself.

About you:

You have a relevant qualification and/or substantial professional experience of working within a communications environment and have experience in formulating and implementing communication strategies. You will possess the personal authority to operate credibly at high level in public affairs for a national public body, and the flexibility to work effectively as a member of a team.

Sibling Arts C.I.C. co-creates multi-arts projects with queer, trans, sex worker & migrant communities. Looking for a Finance & Administration Officer (FAO to lead on our financial and administrative needs, and grow with us as we do more ambitious projects with social impact at their core.

Our current projects:

• Delivering trans/non-binary hxstory via storytelling to young people KS3 & teacher training

• Organising an Arts Action Fair connecting grassroots artists, frontline campaigns, NGOs, demonstrating how community ownership makes better art

• Building on the success of our beloved musical theatre production Sex Worker's Opera to create a full-length feature film, branching into new artistic territory with new communities.

We are looking for a skilled, dynamic and conscientious individual to lead on our financial and administrative needs, and work with us to grow our organisation.

You will be one of four core staff roles in the organisation. After the first year there may be space for role to develop and expand.

You will lead on financial management, working closely with Directors to develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy.

The role will also feature core administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the organisation across contracting, insurance, monitoring equipment/assets and saving costs.

We are looking for someone excited to be part of an ambitious over-achieving, under-recognised young organisation in the arts.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Financial Strategy and Management

• Co-creating and monitoring budgets, org-wide and for projects

• Monitoring multiple income streams inc. sales, grants, investments

• Co-designing core/project accounting ledgers to facilitate reporting and monitor metrics

• Streamlining and automating systems, training staff in how to use them

• Support the process of becoming a C.I.O. and adapting finance and reporting systems for new level of requirements

• Managing cashflow and reserves to manage risk.

Reporting

• Reporting to HMRC, Companies House and the Charity Commission

• Liaising with our accountant to get the best systems in place for ease and accuracy of reporting and accounting

• Reporting to multiple funders with different priorities and expense restrictions

• Creating an automated financial reporting system that tracks costs across core, projects, and different funding streams for each

• Overseeing compliance with HMRC including VAT, PAYE and accessing tax benefits such as Theatre Tax Relief (TTR) alongside our accountant.

Administration

• Compiling and digitising receipts and invoices

• Setting up staff and project producer expense accounts where necessary

• Liaising with banking and ensuring staff access to online and card payment

• Creating and using new reference administrative reference systems and filing systems.

Human Resources

• Communicating with our community members, artists and staff about invoicing requirements and payment details, mindful of individuals’ complex needs

• Overseeing setup and budgeting of employment benefits, bonuses, commission, freelance contracts and how to integrate these

• Overseeing creation of a platform for communicating financials transparently to our community of marginalised artists (longer term)

Funding Support

• Note: this is a support role as one of the Artistic Directors will spearhead new funding applications, you will not be applying independently

• Researching and identifying new funding streams, archiving applications, making templates

• Seeking advice from current funders and NGO partners about where to apply

• Tracking funding applications, reporting deadlines, meeting financial requirements

• Following-up on investors, scheduling regular communications with Artistic Directors.

Research Co-ordinator

Location: This role can be based at any one of the Arts Council of Wales offices in Cardiff, Colwyn Bay or Carmarthen.  We are currently working in a hybrid way.

We are looking for a Research Co-ordinator to assist with the collection, compilation, analysis and presentation of data.  The Research Co-ordinator will be able to aid in the provision of information and data that helps us to assess how effective we are being in meeting our objectives.  This information can also be used to provide a wider understanding of the impact of the Arts Council’s funding, and of the activities that it supports.

As a public body, the Arts Council strives to manage its affairs to the highest standards of effectiveness and accountability. The Research Co-ordinator contributes to the Research & Evaluation team in achieving that goal.

The successful candidate will hold a qualification in a relevant discipline containing formal training in statistical theory and research methods, and/or have significant experience with demonstrable ability in a statistics related field.

The ability to work on own initiative and prioritise, working effectively under pressure is essential along with good communication skills and a commitment to high standards of customer care.

We work in both English and Welsh. Fluency in Welsh (both written and spoken) is desirable but not essential for this post. Upon appointment we can support you to learn, develop and improve your language skills and to increase your confidence in speaking and writing in Welsh.

The Concerts Team
The LSO’s Concerts team meticulously plans and organises all of the orchestra’s live and online performances, including the LSO’s main residency at the Barbican Centre; other UK concerts; commercial studio recordings; overseas tours; and all rehearsals.  The team develops key relationships with the LSO’s musicians, extras, conductors, composers, soloists, artist’s agents, promoters and other venues

Overall Responsibilities of the Tours Assistant/Coordinator:

• Prepare and follow up cost estimates, contracts, technical riders and invoices for tours and UK concerts 
• Coordinate logistics for overseas tours including travel, accommodation and per diem rates for the Orchestra. 
• Prepare, label and assist in distributing electronic train/flight tickets, assist in creating seating plans 
• Update and maintain the LSO diary and database (ArtsVision).
• Assist and advise players with their immigration arrangements. 
• Assist with instrument freight documents for overseas tours.
• Liaise with third parties on preparations and logistics for upcoming tours.

We are looking to recruit a talented and self-motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join us in June 2024 on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Development, this role is essential to driving forward the implementation of Creative United’s business development plans across multiple programme and project strands. Key responsibilities include the planning and delivery of business development activities that build on our existing service offer, responding to the needs of the creative communities that we serve, whether on a local, regional or national basis.

This is a hybrid-working role that involves spending a minimum of 2 days per week at our offices in London. You will have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy building relationships through a combination of face to face, telephone and written communications. You will be comfortable working with minimal supervision to plan and coordinate activities that involve the buy-in of other staff and partner organisations.  Maximise Giving

You will implement a philanthropic giving strategy that significantly shifts the museums approach towards the generation of substantial philanthropic income and that supports the Museum's vision and mission. You will work collaboratively with the Executive, Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to establish a long-term plan and supporting fundraising strategies that align and help the museum move forward with its objectives.

 Cultivate and Steward Donors

You will actively cultivate and steward relationships with potential and existing donors, for major new, repeat and legacy gifts, significantly raising the profile of Beamish, generating excitement and a desire to support Beamish now and into the future across a range of projects.  These will be supported by stewardship plans that foster mutual trust to secure ongoing support. 

Reputation and Engagement

You will build the profile of the Museum through donor engagement.  You will personally manage a portfolio of prospective donors, guiding them through the cultivation process, and ultimately securing new funding. You will work closely with the CEO building new networks, opening new doors and linking with communities in support of the museum's philanthropic goals and furthering its reputation and that of the sector.

Successful Philanthropy Team

You will ensure a high performing team is in place that supports Beamish’s Philanthropic strategy, imbuing a culture of innovation and enterprise across the museum. The team will ensure day to day delivery of the function, including to trusts and grants, provide excellent customer service, and produce timely data to support and measure the impact of all giving.  The team will champion equality, diversity and sustainability and creating a strong culture of philanthropy throughout Beamish.
