The Access Foundation is focused on making a real difference to people’s lives by awarding grants to charities which make a valuable and measurable positive impact.  Our grant giving objectives fall into three categories: 

1. to mitigate the digital divide by making computing facilities, support and learning available to disadvantaged and vulnerable people

1. to advance the charitable causes of the registered charities which are chosen as the "Access Group Company Charities of the Year"

The Foundation aims to achieve this via a fund from which it awards grants to other charitable organisations aligned with the principles above. You are a key member or the team that works towards our target to award grants to a total value of +/- £2 million each year.

The Access Foundation was set up in 2021 following the success and growth enjoyed by The Access Group over the previous decade. While affiliated with The Access Group in terms of its identity, The Access Foundation is a separate organisation, governed by an independent board of trustees and with its own objectives and goals. 

The Access Foundation wants to fund projects and activities that make a real difference to people’s lives in the countries the Access group is active.To achieve our objectives, we are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to help run and improve our operational processes.

Job objectives 

• Support the trustees in the due diligence and evaluation of each applicant and facilitate the decision-making process for each application 

• Support the ongoing evaluation process of all successful applicants and ensure agreed measures and outcomes are reported back to the Foundation in a timely manner 

• Manage the external communication of the Foundation’s successes back to stakeholders and supporters, as well as other channels on social media, such as Instagram and LinkedIn 

• Manage the communication with the Access Group and maintain an open channel of communication with the charities team at the Access group

Duties and responsibilities will include

• Organise the publicity and communications around each successful grant, including newsfeeds, social media and website updates. 

• Liase with the Access Marketing team to support their own comms 

• Ensure financial accounts are accurate and complete 

• Liase with 3rd parties such as external suppliers and partners ranging from auditors to our financial partners 

• Draft Offer letters for the successful applicants 

• Recruit, Manage and Appraise the Admin and Grant Assistant

• Attend trustees, volunteers and applications meetings 

• Manage the access controls for volunteers and staff 

• Oversee the financial accounts, approve invoices on our bespoke Finance system and deal with some financial accounting together with our Chair of the board of trustees 

Skills and Experience Required 

• Organised, efficient and reliable with the ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneous

About the Role:

About the Role

The Digital Coordinator position supports a key role in the Web Systems team for Research in Practice supporting existing digital real estate, new developments and working with a wide range of people. Working across a range of web systems and digital products.

This role has a particular focus on providing user support, digital project administration and project management, and the involvement in a range of other work including web development testing, scoping and project delivery.

The Digital Coordinator will support a range of digital resources, systems and digital activities within the Research in Practice main website, the product that the role will focus most on. The role will suit someone with a passion for working both with technology and with people.

Shelter Sheffield provide housing advice and support to people across the city with a focus on emergency homelessness, intensive support for children and families, people experiencing domestic abuse and people with multiple and complex needs. About the role 
You will be working under our Legal Aid contract, delivering legal advice and representing tenants at Doncaster and Sheffield courts under the Housing Loss Prevention Advice Scheme. Delivering systemic change through legal challenge to prevent homeless will also be a key part of the role.

Qualified as a Solicitor, you will have a strong knowledge of housing law and be used to managing your own caseload. If you meet the Supervisor status for legal aid purposes that would be preferable but isn’t essential, as is experience of working under a legal aid contract.

To be successful, you will have experience coordinating and delivering mid-to-large scale regional or national programmes that supports young people and/or mental health. You will have experience of delivering clear and concise project delivery and implementation plans, able to implement monitoring and evaluation to track project impact. We’re recruiting for a new Product Manager to support the 12 million people in the UK who are deaf, have hearing loss or tinnitus. We are on an exciting journey at RNID as we introduce and embed product & delivery approaches and you will have the drive to help us along that path.

You will play a critical role in the next phase of our website product, developing and owning the roadmap and delivering positive impact for all our audiences. This includes user experience, conversion rate optimisation, technical integrations to internal/external systems and usability & accessibility.

You’ll work with external agencies as well as our multi-disciplinary in-house team. You will ensure that our website and other relevant digital products deliver against our over-arching strategy.

You will work in a consultative and collaborative way, sharing your experience, expertise, and guidance to encourage effective decision making. Working closely with Marketing & Communications and other teams to ensure coherent user journeys and relevant product roadmaps are in place driving the desired outcomes. You will own the website product roadmap.
