It can be difficult to know where to start and what you are entitled to, but we are here to help them every step of the way. To assist us in this endeavour, we are looking for an experienced full-time Welfare and Benefits Information Lead.  You will assist clients in claiming welfare benefits, grants, and any financial aid that may be available to them. This includes informing them of any financial help available, supporting them with applications and following up on claim as necessary.  Where anyone has been given an end of life diagnosis you will be required to start the application on their behalf. In addition, you will also conduct financial wellbeing assessments in the community and schedule one-on-one application completion consultations with individuals who request your assistance.

This vital role will suit an enthusiastic and dynamic person who has excellent communication skills, being able to deal with complex matters effectively both verbally and in writing.  You will need to understand the issues involved in interviewing people within a time defined period. The ideal applicant will have emotional resilience to deal with people who have experienced cancer or bereavement. An empathetic and compassionate approach is important.  The Welfare Benefits Information Lead will be at the forefront of our client-based services and need to be self-motivated and have a positive and flexible attitude.

Waterloo Community Counselling (WCC) offers life-changing accessible and affordable counselling in the heart of London and is a small charity that has a big impact! We are one of only a handful of Low-Cost Counselling services offering weekly therapy at reduced fees, or for free. About the role of Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is a core member of WCC's management team and is a key advisor and partner to the CEO on all areas of finance.  The post-holder will have responsibility for timely and efficient management of the day-to-day accounting function and all internal and external financial reporting.  Reporting directly to the CEO this role is part of a friendly, highly productive and collaborative, dedicated clinical and operational staff team of ten.

This role supports the delivery of METRO’s groups for LGBTQ+ young people, alongside a Lead Youth Worker. The successful applicant will work with the Youth Group Lead to deliver sessions, promote the group and complete administrative tasks associated with the groups. The role sits in METROs vibrant Youth Domain Team, where we are all motivated by creating safer spaces for all LGBTQ+ and questioning young people to thrive.

Programme

METRO youth groups provide safe, social spaces for LGBTQ+ young people to meet and receive support from youth workers and their peers.

The groups provide a structured programme of activities which is co-designed with young people. The programme addresses key areas such as mental health and wellbeing, sexual health, drugs and alcohol awareness, as well as rights for young LGBTQ+ people. The programme supports with employment, study, life skills, and healthy living.

The groups also provide opportunities to connect and participate in cross-group events such as half-term events, Prides, Youth Summits, and other opportunities. To support this staff is required to occasionally change their working pattern to other evenings and weekend work. Employees are offered sessional work as and when there is a need in the domain.

Role

This role will primarily be posted at METRO’s weekly “Snap” LGBTQ+ group in Bromley for 16–24-year-olds. The group is delivered in person. The role will occasionally support cross-group events and outings as per agreement. METRO Youth workers are often offered extra sessional work to provide cover in other locations across south London. Staff travel expenses outside of regular place of work is covered by METRO.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Business Growth, this new role will be responsible for supporting Abt Britain to scale its work in the UK through the acquisition of new business. They will enable Abt to position effectively for new opportunities and to lead and manage proposal efforts. The post holder will be expected to build and manage strategic partnerships and support the development of efficient and effective business development systems and processes.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable business development experience, including capture, proposal writing and proposal management, preferably on winning proposals for FCDO commercial contracts. They are looking for someone with demonstrable knowledge of and experience with preparing bids, negotiating, and managing 7 & 8 figure FCDO contracts. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Grants Manager to join a fantastic charity working to provide long-term sustainable help to vulnerable young people, by working closely with organisations supporting families, schools and local communities.

Location: Hybrid working, 2 days can be from home and 3 days a week based in the Westminster office.

Salary: Circa £60,000

 As Senior Grants Manager you will be an ambassador for the Foundation and will lead implementation of the grant making strategy to provide opportunities for children and young people (0-25 years old). You will be responsible for National Grants, building a National Rural Grants programme and managing and developing the existing Grant Management team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working closely with Philanthropy Director to develop a Grants Strategy across all
• grant programmes: Partnership Grants, Fivefield Grants, Small Grants, National

• Working closely with the Senior Finance and Operations Managers to plan grants
• budgets and cashflow projection.
• Developing a National Grants Strategy identifying national charities whose aims and
• purposes will further the strategic aims of the Foundation.
• Having overall accountability and oversight of the Partnership Grantees to consider portfolio level analysis of impact, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Working closely with the Westminster Foundation Director and Senior Communications and Engagement Manager to develop a Stakeholder Engagement Strategy.
• Working closely with the Impact and Evaluation Manager to ensure that they are able to consolidate and communicate their impact at the highest level.

The successful candidate will have strong Grant Management experience (minimum of 5 years) ideally with a large funder and a passion for working to improve life chances of vulnerable children and young people. You will be collaborative and collegiate with a willingness to contribute to and strengthen a strong team culture to empower team members to lead and develop, and be an articulate and confident presenter, able to bring stakeholders together at the highest levels to unlock problems with strong skills of persuasion. Strong experience of improving processes and procedures in grant management is key and experience of capital projects/spend out of a fund would be helpful but not essential
