We are investing in Informatics (Information Technology and Information Governance) to ensure our organisation safely embraces digital opportunities to enhance our services to our members. We are recruiting for an Informatics Project Manager to join our busy, supportive and high performing Informatics team. The current focus of this role is to manage the Customer Relationship Management project which is in flight. The post holder will be expected to manage other projects as they emerge and support the organisation to implement standardised project management methods in line with best practice.

The NHS is in a significant period of reform, due to the legislative change establishing integrated care systems (ICSs) as statutory organisations in 2022. It is also in a uniquely challenging period due to ongoing operational and financial pressures, rising demand, workforce challenges, and the need to recover care backlogs. The reform agenda and operational context both mean trusts need to find new ways to work in their local systems and deliver for patients.

About the role of Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is a core member of WCC's management team and is a key advisor and partner to the CEO on all areas of finance.  The post-holder will have responsibility for timely and efficient management of the day-to-day accounting function and all internal and external financial reporting.  Reporting directly to the CEO this role is part of a friendly, highly productive and collaborative, dedicated clinical and operational staff team of ten.

This role supports the delivery of METRO’s groups for LGBTQ+ young people, alongside a Lead Youth Worker. The successful applicant will work with the Youth Group Lead to deliver sessions, promote the group and complete administrative tasks associated with the groups. The role sits in METROs vibrant Youth Domain Team, where we are all motivated by creating safer spaces for all LGBTQ+ and questioning young people to thrive.

Programme

METRO youth groups provide safe, social spaces for LGBTQ+ young people to meet and receive support from youth workers and their peers.

The groups provide a structured programme of activities which is co-designed with young people. The programme addresses key areas such as mental health and wellbeing, sexual health, drugs and alcohol awareness, as well as rights for young LGBTQ+ people. The programme supports with employment, study, life skills, and healthy living.

The groups also provide opportunities to connect and participate in cross-group events such as half-term events, Prides, Youth Summits, and other opportunities. To support this staff is required to occasionally change their working pattern to other evenings and weekend work. Employees are offered sessional work as and when there is a need in the domain.

Role

This role will primarily be posted at METRO’s weekly “Snap” LGBTQ+ group in Bromley for 16–24-year-olds. The group is delivered in person. The role will occasionally support cross-group events and outings as per agreement. METRO Youth workers are often offered extra sessional work to provide cover in other locations across south London. Staff travel expenses outside of regular place of work is covered by METRO.

As Assistant Shop Manager, it is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Shop Manager in Surbiton's brand new Scope shop (Victoria Road, Surbiton, KT6 4NS). The shop will be opening mid 2024.  You will be able to use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.

Recovery Worker

We're on the lookout for a dedicated and empathetic professional to join our team as a Recovery Worker. • Deliver individual and group counselling sessions to clients grappling with substance misuse disorders.

• Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups covering topics like relapse prevention, coping mechanisms, and life skills enhancement.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Certification or licensure as a Substance Misuse Counsellor is preferred.
• Prior experience in substance treatment or a related field is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment and recovery.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassion, empathy, and a nonjudgmental approach towards individuals grappling with substance disorders.
• Familiarity with community resources and support services for individuals dealing with substance issues.
• Willingness to comply with agency policies and procedures, including confidentiality and ethical guidelines.

Invisible Palace is currently looking for a Youth Support Worker to join an established circus project that works with local a primary school and youth partners in the Bromley and Lewisham areas of London.

Your experience does not necessarily need to be in a school or youth work setting, but could be working or volunteering in youth groups, sports coaching, after school clubs or the care sector.

You will need to have availability during late afternoon and early evening and during school holidays, these are the times when activities on the circus programme take place.

Job Description - Freelance Youth Support Worker

• Freelance contract of up to 8 hours per week at £18 per hour for an estimated 44 weeks of the year.
• Available after school, early evening, and school holidays.
• Attend after school club sessions periodically to understand the needs of participants and support participation in the wider circus programme, currently Wednesday evenings 10 weeks per term.
• Attend taster sessions for youth groups to understand the needs of participants and support participation in the wider circus programme, usually afternoon sessions during half term or summer holidays.
• Have a supportive and encouraging attitude, to inspire trust and good communication with young people and families.
• Identify needs of young people and support those needs to minimise barriers to participation in the circus programme.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to young people as they navigate challenges and pursue their goals within the programme.
• Support young people directly with travel to and from sessions at local circus school using bus, taxi, or with volunteer drivers. Usually early evenings.
• Support young people with additional behavioural needs during sessions this may involve attending after school session more frequently.
• Work closely with colleagues from Invisible Palace and partner organisations to support good and clear communication for the benefit of young people taking part in activities.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS will be undertaken for successful candidate.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Programme Officer to join our Work Experience Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, enthusiastic and confident individual to join us in a role which has responsibility for ensuring suitable and safe work experience placements are sourced, managed and available for students. Our Work Experience programme provides a taster of the ‘World of Work’ helping to raise career aspirations and support academic progression.  Our team work with local and central London employers and education providers and provide placements for over 5,000 young people each academic year. 

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

• To secure, update and manage work experience placements.
• To handle telephone enquiries about the work experience programme, communicating with teachers, employers, parents and schools.
• To be a key point of contact for schools/educational establishments managing and overseeing the work experience process.
• To produce information and provide support to the Head of Work Experience and other team members.
• Completing one-to-one interviews with students with additional needs to ensure suitable placements are secured.
• Managing placements using a bespoke IT system.
