REMAP is a unique national charity. It brings together two groups of people: volunteers skilled at making things and disabled people who need specialist equipment. Each year, around 3,000 pieces of custom-made equipment help transform the lives of disabled people.

REMAP’s army of ingenious inventors designs and makes equipment for young and old alike and then provides it free of charge. The aim is always to help people achieve quality of life, filling the gap where no suitable equipment is available commercially.

The Role

The Operations Manager's role is critical to the charity's long-term sustainability and is pivotal in ensuring that we remain relevant and necessary.

This is an internally focused role in our service delivery, covering clients' and volunteers' journeys. You will be part of the management team, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our central team's support to our network of branches.

We seek someone passionate about providing a quality service to everyone and who is not afraid to drive change and improvement. Experience in being part of a team delivering a change programme that involves volunteers is essential. You must demonstrate that you are a resilient, strong team player with an eye for detail and excellent people skills. You will thrive in a busy environment and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. Building on what has already been done, you will work directly with the CEO and the Strategic Programme & Change Manager to help develop REMAP's operational structure and support its day-to-day operations.

Terms & Conditions

Place of work: Fully remote, with occasional 2/3 nights away for year-round events.

Working Hours: 37 hrs—a minimum of core hours from 10 am to 3 pm Monday through Friday must be met.

Salary: £35,000 – 40,000, dependent on experience

Holiday entitlement: Begins at 25 days per annum, in addition to public holidays.

Role Overview: 

The Head of Marketing & Sales plays a pivotal role in driving the organisation’s growth. You will develop and execute multi-channel strategies delivered across the funnel from enhancing brand visibility and generating leads, nurturing leads to conversion, right the way through to supporting customer retention and advocacy. This varied role offers the opportunity to expand market reach with our current services, as well as helping launch new products into existing and untapped markets, while delivering a strong RoI.

You will report directly to the Chief Revenue Generation Officer who leads the revenue team, comprising of digital marketing and content specialists as well as membership support staff.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Membership engagement and growth: Developing and executing strategic marketing and sales strategies to drive member engagement, growth and retention with our flagship membership and subscription services.  
• Brand positioning and visibility: Ensuring we have a powerful brand that punches above its weight to increase market share, drive competitive advantage and to position the organisation as a thought leader within the sector.
• Marketing analysis and segmentation: Conducting market analysis/research within existing and untapped markets to uncover insights to segment audiences and tailor marketing messaging and activities effectively to drive conversions. 
• Digital marketing: Overseeing digital marketing strategies, including website optimisation, email marketing, search marketing and social media marketing to drive traffic and conversion across the funnel stages.   
• Content and creativity: Oversea content strategy and creation across various formats and channels, ensuring innovation and creativity to stand out in a crowded market. 
• Data-driven decision making: Using analytics to test strategies, measure results and generate insights in order to iterate and improve performance, tracking key metrics and leading the team to deliver and report against agreed KPIs.

We are currently seeking a Digital Products Specialist to work closely with the rest of the Digital Products Team and maintain and improve the Battersea website and other owned digital products. This role will have a particular focus on delivering a continuous optimisation and development plan based on insights gained through testing, analytics and user experience research. Children are made vulnerable by a complex network of interconnecting factors such as high levels of poverty, gender inequality, unsafe migration, cultural norms and poor implementation of schemes and laws. The Child Opportunity Fund’s goal is to create more safe spaces to ensure that millions of children can live their lives to the fullest potential. To achieve this, they are aiming to raise $25m which will be matched by the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, totalling a $50m fund.

We are looking for an exceptional philanthropic fundraising leader, with experience of leading an appeal and first-hand programme management skills, to undertake a one year maternity cover as the Interim Head of Child Opportunity Appeal. The postholder will be responsible for overseeing the appeal, working collaboratively with the team to reach their significant fundraising targets across HNWIs, trusts, institutional funders and corporate partners.

Your Place's mission is to build hope and enable lasting change to end homelessness for people in east London. The Senior Maintenance Officer will be responsible for the building, reactive building works, renovation, and repair of the building. Working as a senior member of the maintenance team under the supervision of the Facilities Manager.
 
Additionally, this person will ensure that day-to-day repairs and planned maintenance of Your Place properties are efficiently and effectively carried out. The post-holder will monitor the performance of internal operatives and contractors handling communications and ensuring the work is carried out in line with completion targets and quality standards. Furthermore, the Senior Maintenance Officer will carry out minor repairs to the buildings, plumbing and electrical systems.
 
The ideal candidate will possess experience in facilities, and ideally experience working as part of a team and interacting with a variety of people. We are looking for two individuals to help deliver an impactful GOALS service across London and build effective networks of support for people before, during and after treatment.

A main aspect of the role will be to support and work closely with individuals presenting with lived experience of gambling harm issues and/or people affected by this issue. The GOALS Supporter will understand gambling related harm and dependency issues and be able to ensure safe working environments and take a robust lead on safeguarding and harm minimisation procedures and policy.

The post holder will work with the Director of Support Services and GOALS Coordinator to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are systematic and develop a clear understanding of how the service integrates with the national gambling treatment service.

We are seeking a part-time Finance Assistant to support timely processing of financial transactions, accurate accounting, consistency of financial records, as well as supporting the year-end close.

Finance Assistant (part-time)
Location: Kensington, London, SW7
Hours: Part-time (17.5 hours per week)

As Finance Assistant, you will become an integral part of our dedicated team, ensuring the smooth functioning of financial operations.

Duties and responsibilities 

• Accounts receivable – review and issue of sales invoices, processing and uploading, debt recovery and follow-up invoicing queries.
• Receipts, including PDQ, processing and reconciliation.
• Processing direct debits and credit card expenses.
• Cash and bank reconciliation and updates of bank and deposit balances.
• Recording receipts – subscriptions, legacies, grants, gift aid and investment income.
• Reconciliation of receipts in the financial system and the CRM system.
• Ensuring accurate VAT coding and assist in the preparation of VAT returns.
• Support balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Support for ad hoc general accounting tasks as required.
