Would you like to help send donated medicines around the world to those who do not have access to live-saving medicines? IHP is recruiting a Logistics Officer to become part of our growing logistics team who coordinate the safe and responsible donation of medical products to where the needs are greatest, so that people don’t suffer needlessly from treatable illnesses.

As a Logistics Officer you will play an integral role in IHP’s work arranging the shipping of donated medicines and medical supplies, for example our essential health packs and antibiotics, ensuring their secure transportation to diaster hit and vulnerable communities such as Sudan and Gaza.

Your responsibilites will include:

• ​Securing cost effective shipping quotes from some of the largest freightforwarders in the UK
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Ensuring shipping files are accurate and kept up to date
• Communicating regularly with our donor companies and receiving NGO partners
• Updating offers on our management system

Who you are:

- You'll have administrative/record keeping experience or demonstable transferable skills

About the role of Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is a core member of WCC's management team and is a key advisor and partner to the CEO on all areas of finance.  The post-holder will have responsibility for timely and efficient management of the day-to-day accounting function and all internal and external financial reporting.  Reporting directly to the CEO this role is part of a friendly, highly productive and collaborative, dedicated clinical and operational staff team of ten.

This role supports the delivery of METRO’s groups for LGBTQ+ young people, alongside a Lead Youth Worker. The successful applicant will work with the Youth Group Lead to deliver sessions, promote the group and complete administrative tasks associated with the groups. The role sits in METROs vibrant Youth Domain Team, where we are all motivated by creating safer spaces for all LGBTQ+ and questioning young people to thrive.

Programme

METRO youth groups provide safe, social spaces for LGBTQ+ young people to meet and receive support from youth workers and their peers.

The groups provide a structured programme of activities which is co-designed with young people. The programme addresses key areas such as mental health and wellbeing, sexual health, drugs and alcohol awareness, as well as rights for young LGBTQ+ people. The programme supports with employment, study, life skills, and healthy living.

The groups also provide opportunities to connect and participate in cross-group events such as half-term events, Prides, Youth Summits, and other opportunities. To support this staff is required to occasionally change their working pattern to other evenings and weekend work. Employees are offered sessional work as and when there is a need in the domain.

Role

This role will primarily be posted at METRO’s weekly “Snap” LGBTQ+ group in Bromley for 16–24-year-olds. The group is delivered in person. The role will occasionally support cross-group events and outings as per agreement. METRO Youth workers are often offered extra sessional work to provide cover in other locations across south London. Staff travel expenses outside of regular place of work is covered by METRO.

Your experience does not necessarily need to be in a school or youth work setting, but could be working or volunteering in youth groups, sports coaching, after school clubs or the care sector.

You will need to have availability during late afternoon and early evening and during school holidays, these are the times when activities on the circus programme take place.

Job Description - Freelance Youth Support Worker

• Freelance contract of up to 8 hours per week at £18 per hour for an estimated 44 weeks of the year.
• Available after school, early evening, and school holidays.
• Attend after school club sessions periodically to understand the needs of participants and support participation in the wider circus programme, currently Wednesday evenings 10 weeks per term.
• Attend taster sessions for youth groups to understand the needs of participants and support participation in the wider circus programme, usually afternoon sessions during half term or summer holidays.
• Have a supportive and encouraging attitude, to inspire trust and good communication with young people and families.
• Identify needs of young people and support those needs to minimise barriers to participation in the circus programme.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to young people as they navigate challenges and pursue their goals within the programme.
• Support young people directly with travel to and from sessions at local circus school using bus, taxi, or with volunteer drivers. Usually early evenings.
• Support young people with additional behavioural needs during sessions this may involve attending after school session more frequently.
• Work closely with colleagues from Invisible Palace and partner organisations to support good and clear communication for the benefit of young people taking part in activities.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS will be undertaken for successful candidate.

Our Work Experience programme provides a taster of the ‘World of Work’ helping to raise career aspirations and support academic progression.  Our team work with local and central London employers and education providers and provide placements for over 5,000 young people each academic year. 

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

• To secure, update and manage work experience placements.
• To handle telephone enquiries about the work experience programme, communicating with teachers, employers, parents and schools.
• To be a key point of contact for schools/educational establishments managing and overseeing the work experience process.
• To produce information and provide support to the Head of Work Experience and other team members.
• Completing one-to-one interviews with students with additional needs to ensure suitable placements are secured.
• Managing placements using a bespoke IT system.

Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity and their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, who they continually support and develop, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia – including Alzheimer’s disease.

As the Challenge Events Executive, you will coordinate a portfolio of third-party challenge events that drive participation and income. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of all challenge events within your portfolio – delivering marketing plans that drive participant numbers, and stewardship journeys that provide excellent supporter experiences and maximise income.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of effective marketing channels and techniques for driving participation in challenge events, particularly via digital channels.
