This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.
The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

The role

Purpose of the Archivist role is to:
Our Archive collection contains both official and personal documents which reflect the experience of those who have served with the RAF and its predecessor organisations. It also includes technical drawings and material. Public Records are held and the Museum is a Place of Deposit.
The Archivist is a key member of the Archive, Library and Research team contributing to making the collection accessible to our audiences. Undertaking the full range of archival work, you will help to develop and look after the Archive collection and support the Museum’s Development Programmes. As Commercial Sales & Events Manager you’ll take the lead in maximising venue hire and events income to support the organisation’s charitable aims. Team Leaders at the Centre are responsible for the day-to-day delivery by their respective team. This new role will contribute to and support the Delivery Manager to achieve the overall objective of the Centre, which is to deliver services that enable our clients community to thrive.
The Team Leader – General Social Prescribing will line manage the Social Prescribing Link Workers and Coordinator within Generalist Social Prescribing and also deliver frontline services and 1-2-1 support. The split between front-line delivery and management for this role will be agreed with the Delivery Manager but they expect it to be around 80%-line management and 20% delivery (as floating delivery support to the team). The role will oversee the delivery of the social prescribing service, supporting individuals in the team and providing a reflective space to discuss caseloads. It will also involve managing relationships with key stakeholders.
The Team Leader will promote a positive culture of collaboration and innovation amongst their direct reports and team and support the development of viable service propositions to reflect the needs of the community.

• Rapid social prescribing: Urgent, one-off support often around isolation, food, money and medication. People are contacted within two day
• General social prescribing: Longer term emotional and practical support. People are contacted within two weeks and offered three to six sessions to explore challenges, set goals and offered a coaching style of support
• Social welfare advice social prescribing: Specialist support delivered by a qualified social welfare advisor to address housing and benefit needs.
• Mental Health Community Connectors: Supporting people with serious mental illness (SMI) to achieve better mental health and wellbeing, increasing independence and reducing reliance on services.

Causeway runs safe houses for men, women and families who have escaped modern slavery. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Accommodation Advocate working with female service users in our Liverpool safe houses. In this role you will work alongside a team to support service users living within our female safe houses based in Liverpool. You will equip and empower individuals who’ve experienced trauma to live free and meaningful lives. Day to day, this role includes providing service users with emotional and practical support; advocating on their behalf, communicating with other organisations including but not limited to health professionals, legal representation and the Home office and creating a warm and welcoming environment for service users to live in during their time with us.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Case working service users identified as PVOHT (Potential Victims of Human Trafficking).
- Regular feedback and review meetings with Accommodation Coordinator.
- Arranging and attending appointments for individuals or families.
- Following up all paperwork/online reporting in adherence to the terms of the contract. Including but not limited to; journey plans, risk assessments and inductions.
- Ensuring that all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
- Ensuring progression of PVOHT through system;
- Liaising with organisations and individuals regarding service users and Causeway in a professional manner - including but not limited to SATco, UK Visas and Immigration, Modern Slavery Human Trafficking Unit, other agencies, police, and medical professionals.
- Ensuring accurate logging of all support hours.
- Ensuring exit strategies are being prepared in a timely fashion.
- Dealing with out of hour crisis in accordance with on call rota.
- Receiving out of hours’ referrals in accordance with the on call rota.
- Carrying out inductions, journey plan reviews and updating the client management system regularly.
- Supporting service users to attend appointments when appropriate.
- Some basic housekeeping duties including the cleaning and preparation of bedrooms for new service users.

- Ensuring adherence to all internal procedures regarding Causeway, the Safe Houses and any legislation.
