Role Summary:

The Communications Executive will work closely with the Head of Communications and Advocacy to implement our communications and media strategy, contributing to organisational, engagement, and brand awareness goals.

You will manage digital channel growth, content calendars, and deliver social media plans to enhance our digital presence and position as experts in global health, social justice and gender equality.

You will create engaging content and ideas for data promotion and brand awareness campaigns, and support the press office function with media engagement throughout the year. 

Skills & Experience:

Essential (1-3 years) experience:

• as a communications professional – you have a motivational, engaging style and can draw out information and ideas from others. 
• in SEO implementation: Conduct keyword research to guide content creation, optimise website and article content for search engines, and monitor, analyse, and report on website SEO performance. 
• in social media channel and content management, growing audiences, increasing visibility and engagement. 
• in email marketing: Design and execute email marketing campaigns to engage Global Health 50/50’s audience, drive traffic to the website, and promote events or publications. Segment email lists and personalise content to increase effectiveness. 
• in digital marketing, creating advertising campaigns across digital platforms. 

Desirable experience:

• Experience in the charity/not-for-profit sector with a digital communications background.

 Skills:

• Talented wordsmith – able to engage different audiences through website, publications, or social media.

The accreditation is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our collaborative and supportive accreditation process guides units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.

The Approved Provider Associate Manager will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with their Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

• Contributing to the development and growth of Headway’s Approved Provider scheme, by continuing to drive forward standards and onboarding new units. 
• Working with freelance Lead Assessors and Service User Perspective Assessors who are based around the UK, to organise assessments and ensure the schemes standards are upheld.

ABOUT YOU

CEASE (the Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation) is a national human rights charity. Our mission is to expose and dismantle the cultural and commercial forces driving all forms of sexual exploitation in the UK. Sexual exploitation does not occur in a vacuum, and only by addressing the wider context can we hope for real, lasting change.
As a charity, we join the dots between our hypersexualised, objectifying, pornified culture and public attitudes and behaviours towards sex:
• We demonstrate how the mass consumption of online pornography depicting the humiliation, violation and degradation of women and children has realworld consequences.
• We shine a light on the widespread exploitation and harm caused by commercial sex industries that undermine our human rights.

Reporting to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, the role will entail political advocacy, relationship building across stakeholders, including Parliament and research and policy analysis.

The National Safeguarding Panel (NSP) continues to operate, necessitating a chair. However, both the chair’s role and that of the NSP may evolve due to the Church’s upcoming decisions regarding safeguarding, prompted by Wilkinson and Jay

We are working in partnership with the The National Safeguarding Panel (NSP) which was established in June 2014 to support the Church of England’s development of national safeguarding responses, notably in the light of the Chichester Reports. The NSP is an advisory group which has performed a key role in providing reference to, and scrutiny of, the Church’s development of national safeguarding policy and guidance over the last three years. 

The NSP is looking to appoint an experienced independent Chair who will lead the National Safeguarding Panel, provide excellent leadership, direction and independent scrutiny and challenge to the Church of England and bring external expertise from holding a highly senior role. 

They are looking for an independent chair who:

• Is a gifted leader, who will support the Church of England in further strengthening its safeguarding arrangements and partnerships;
• Is passionate about working collaboratively at all levels, with a proven track record in improvement work at a national level;
• Knows how to hold organisations to account and possesses the skills to support the development of senior leaders;
• Has a good understanding and experience of the core aspects of safeguarding in the field of statutory and/or voluntary sector at a senior level;
• Is empathetic, strategic, emotional and has analytical skills, and able to act as a ‘critical friend’ in supporting and challenging people and institutions to help improve their safeguarding practice and arrangements;
• Has a relevant academic or professional qualification.

The successful candidate will have safeguarding expertise, with a natural empathy for the needs and experiences of children and/or adults who have been abused.  You will be a senior leader, with excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.   

Please note: Experience of church structures and practices, either professionally or personally, are neither a barrier or a qualification required for this role. However, the candidate must be in sympathy with the aims and work of the Church of England

- You’ll be supporting 6 individuals with Learning Difficulties between the ages of 20- 60 in their own home. Supporting 6 individuals it can be a busy house and lots of coming and going.
- You’ll be involved in supporting them in all activities of daily living as need to help them to live their lives how they want to.
- You will empower them to make decisions for themselves, achieve their own dreams, goals and aspirations.
- You will support them to ensure they are actively involved in their local community.
- Assisting them to make maintain relationships with friends and family and support them to be as independent as possible by assisting them to learn life skills such as cooking and cleaning, managing finances, socialising and support in engaging in meaningful hobbies/activities.

The people you will be supporting would like you to be patient, outgoing but not loud. They have also expressed that they would like someone who enjoys the outdoors, watching films, trains, and discos.
