Who we are
Look at poverty differently and you'll see grassroots entrepreneurs, full of energy and ideas. Hand in Hand helps turn their skill and potential into jobs. They find a way out of poverty.
Our work proceeds in four stages. First, we recruit groups of would-be entrepreneurs and teach them to save. Next, we provide business and skills training to help them get up and running. If they need a small start-up loan – and they’ve got the business plan to prove it – we provide that, too. And to help grow their businesses once they’re firmly established, we plug them into bigger markets and value chains.
